NOW AND THEN

7.30PM, 9GEM PG. 1995. Childhood friends reminisce about the summer of 1970, when they first discovered boys, their bodies and being young women. Stars Rosie O’Donnell, Demi Moore and Melanie Griffith. A lovely nostalgic flick that you can easily watch over and over.

CAFE DU PONT

12.25AM, SBS M. 2010. A French comedy based on the uncommon boyhood of musiciansinger-poet-humorist Pierre Perrot, who lived under German occupation during World War II and learnt from philosophers at his parent’s cafe. A sweet but slightly dull movie.

THE INDIAN IN THE CUPBOARD

1PM, NINE PG. 1995. A boy receives an old cupboard from his brother and a little Indian figurine made of plastic from his best friend for his ninth birthday. These two unassuming items turn out to be much more magical than anyone would have expected though. A nice one for the kids.

Demi Moore.
