6.30PM, 7FLIX PG. 2009. The adorable eight-year-old wilderness explorer Russell gives 78year-old Carl Fredricksen an unexpected new lease on life. A perfect combination of dazzling animation and a funny, moving storyline. The type of movie that will appeal to children and grandparents – and everyone in between. A true must-see.

10.15PM, NINE M. 1992. An airline security expert attempts to thwart the hijacking of a plane, which he just happens to be travelling on as a passenger. This is a slick and diverting action flick. Stars the captivating Wesley Snipes and Elizabeth Hurley.

8.30PM, SEVEN M. 2004. This sequel to Meet the Parents lacks focus but is still worth a gander. Scene stealers Dustin Hoffman, as a house husband, and Barbra Streisand, as a sex therapist, provide plenty to smile about. Stars Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro.

Carl Fredricksen.
