LAST VEGAS

8.30PM, 7FLIX M. 2013. A mellower riff on The Hangover formula unites Morgan Freeman, Kevin Kline, Michael Douglas and Robert De Niro as a crew of old buddies hitting Las Vegas for one last hurrah. Mostly so-so, with the likeable cast doing their absolute best with an undercooked script. Directed by Jon Turteltaub.

ELIZABETH: THE GOLDEN AGE

8.35PM, SBS M. 2007. Follows the crusade of Elizabeth I to control her love, destroy her enemies and secure her position on the throne. Superbly acted and beautifully photographed flick that boasts a stellar acting ensemble. A rare sequel that is actually as good as its predecessor. Stars Cate Blanchett.

PRIDE & PREJUDICE

8.30PM, ELEVEN R. 2005. Impressive, gritty version of the classic saga that follows five sisters as they search for husbands in 19th Century England. An exquisite adaptation. Stars Keira Knightley.

Michael Douglas.
