ALI BABA Mur­willum­bah Civic Cen­tre: The Mur­willum­bah The­atre Al­liance presents Ali Baba, based on the Ara­bian Nights tale, Ali Bab and the Forty Theives. This is the story of a poor wood­cut­ter who is des­per­ate to buy the free­dom of his girl­friend, who is a slave to Ali’s brother and his greedy wife. One day, Ali’s dream comes true in a very un­likely way, but things don’t turn out quite as he in­tended. Last shows – Satur­day at 7.30pm and Sun­day at 2pm.
