7PM, SEVEN PG. 2012. Merida, a medieval Scottish princess accidentally turns the offer of a magic wish into a beastly curse that blights her father’s kingdom. Production values are firstclass, but the storytelling often plods and it lacks the “wow’’ factor of Pixar’s Finding Nemo and WALL-E.
8.30PM, 7MATE M. 1999. Four teenage boys make a pact to lose their virginity as fast as they can. The film made names of its largely unknown cast, including Jason Biggs and Shannon Elizabeth, and also includes the infamous pie scene. Alyson Hannigan steals the movie with her tales from band camp.
