BOY, GEORGE OPENS DOORS
He placed second on The Voice and now Team George teen singer Hoseah Partsch will join ’80s icons Culture Club on their Australian tour
Sometimes on reality television, it can be difficult to discern what is real and what is not. For example, do The Voice coaches Delta Goodrem, Kelly Rowland, Seal and Boy George really love their mentees as much as they seem to on the show?
In many cases, audiences may never find out, but every so often there’s a story that reaffirms your faith in the glitzy television industry.
This time the story revolves around Boy George and The Voice, which wrapped up on July 2, crowning Judah Kelly as the winner.
Judah wasn’t Team George, but 18-year-old runner-up Hoseah Partsch was, and now he’s been invited to join Culture Club on their national tour later this year.
“I’m so very proud of Hoseah,” Boy George says.
“He’s not only a wonderfully talented artist, he’s a fabulous guy with a big heart and I’m backing him.
“I’m delighted to welcome him to the Culture Club tour.”
Hoseah, of course, responded with a definitive yes.
The pair’s connection was evident on the grand final show, when in a very special TV moment George and Hoseah performed their rendition of the Louis Armstrong classic What a Wonderful World.
Now, the two are set to make many more memories together, touring Australia from November 30, taking to Australia’s biggest stages including Rod Laver Arena, ICC Sydney, Perth Arena and Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
Culture Club is led by frontman Boy George, who endeared himself to new Australian audiences as their favourite coach on TV’s toprating show The Voice.
Hoseah, who proved to be one of the most sought-after contestants, captivated audiences around Australia, not only from his humble beginnings, but with his effortless and soulful voice – a voice that could not be denied.
Hoseah became a show favourite after he joined Team George, and through his coach’s guidance and choice of songs, captured the attention of viewers across the country.
This bigger line up now stands as an incredible musical revue that adds a whole new element of warmth and sound to their live shows, all of which are consistently receiving glowing reviews.
Special guests will be Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, who will play hits live for the first time in 27 years.
Thompson Twins had huge hits such as Hold Me Now, Doctor Doctor, You Take Me Up, and Love On Your Side which provided the soundtrack for many people’s lives worldwide in the mid-eighties.
It’s been 32 years since Thompson Twins have been to Australia and no doubt fans will welcome Bailey back with open arms.
