Attacks on our paramedics are an absolute disgrace and show just how low some of the trash in our society has sunk. There should be a mandatory 10 year sentence for these low lifes, no ifs, no buts. – Sampancho Now that we have a China town on the coast we should have an Aussie town in China selling meat pies, rubber thongs and Fosters. – Barney If Peta Credlin ever becomes PM, l’m moving to USA. Her style of barking mad makes Trump look sane. – Dave Could we please have less of Jarryd Hayne and more of the rest of the team who have ab- solutely busted their insides out for less money and done the fans proud. – Peecee ‘Merging lanes’, that’s too complicated for most qldndrs & tourists alike! Most people almost stop in merge lane & take ages to make a fwd decision. Dotted lines do not educate mergers! – Trafficman No shark cull in WA with a weak Labor Gov in bed with greenies after the death of a teenage girl, in other words Labor thinks sharks are more important than humans. Why do the idiot dog owners have to take their animals to Anzac ceremonies? Re Games’ roads & transport: in the past 8 yrs there was enough time and (counting the big bickies paid for unqualified ‘jobs for the boys’ on the Board), plenty of dough to have a permanent and reliable bus transport system operating by now. No excuse for this huge failure, Beattie! If the crazy Nth Koreans, work out how to embed their now nuclear war heads onto their missiles, and fire them from their submarines, we and many other coastal cities in the western world, are history! GCCC parking inspectors had field day on Anzac Day holiday on Esplanade Surfers Paradise, walked past and nearly every car had ticket. Signs say 3 hour parking Monday to Friday 9-5 and Saturday 9-12. Sundays, public holidays not stated so people can be forgiven for thinking public holiday exempt. Here we go again. Two thugs bash a father protecting his daughter. They are convicted and then walk free. Leaving the court laughing. Where is the justice? – CFJ It’s so nice to see so many people at the Anzac services. I was starting to think decent and caring people were getting close to extinction. Lest We Forget. – Ace. I never ceased to be amazed at the audacity of our politicians. More than happy to strut around on Anzac Day and mix with our military and Veterans and then sit down the next day to discuss the budget and how to cut back on veterans’ benefits. Hypocrites. – GT GT you are right in your comment about Mayor Tate except he only serves himself and doesn’t care about locals. All people have to do is open their eyes and have a look at his track record. – Radish I applaud Trump’s vision of sending a ‘human being’ to Mars in his first term as President … as long as it’s him! I have no doubt more people would turn out to see that, than President Obama’s inauguration. – Paul I have applied to be a Comm Games volunteer, I would also like to apply for Games tickets. As I have had no response in regards volunteering, do I apply for tickets? If so, what happens if I am successful in getting a volunteer role? Come on Goldoc, let us know what is going on! – MM
