Police coy over bungle
POLICE won’t say whether they will review how TV crews were able to find a man wanted for an alleged attempted murder at a crime scene.
Channels Nine and Seven were given access to a bloodsplattered share house at Norman Park, in Brisbane’s east, 16 hours after a 20-year-old Hong Kong woman was allegedly bludgeoned and stabbed by her online date.
While filming they spotted the man wanted and he was arrested soon after. Queensland Police has maintained the scenario was handled by the book.
The 31-year-old Singaporean man was charged with attempted murder last night.
