‘Bomber’ walks free

A MAN who planted a fake bomb in a Brisbane park toilet in an attempted prank has been put on probation for two years.

Parts of Kangaroo Point were locked down after Nicholas Aaron Roccisano taped the elaborate dummy rig to a cubicle at Captain Burke Park in January 2016. In sentencing him, Brisbane District Court Judge Brendan Butler said the intellectually impaired 30year-old didn’t intend harm and didn’t realise the consequence of his actions.
