A slice of Apple pie

NOT content with manufacturing the world’s most popular tablets and smartphones, computer giant Apple has now come up with arguably an even better invention – a pizza box that prevents the bottom of the crust from going soggy.

As part of its new multibillion-dollar headquarters in California, Apple staff will be able to grab a takeaway pizza in a special patented box.

The white plastic box has eight holes in the top and small ridges to keep the base of the pizza away from the bottom of the box. The idea is that the holes are just big enough to let steam out, but small enough to retain heat.
