ID cards to help youth

PROOF of age cards could soon be available to 15-yearolds under new laws introduced in State Parliament yesterday.

Deputy Premier Jackie Trad said the changes would assist young people in the transition to adulthood.

“The move to give young people between 15 and 17 proof-of-age cards recognises the changing needs of millennials, particularly in being able to access bank accounts and phone contracts,” she said.
