PIPPA’S PENTHOUSE $18,000 PER NIGHT

-

UNFAZED by the late autumn chill, glowing newlywed Pippa Middleton enjoyed a big day out honeymooning in Sydney yesterday.

With new husband James Matthews in tow, the Duchess of Cambridge’s high-profile little sister had made a low-key arrival on a flight from New Zealand before checking into a suite at the exclusive Park Hyatt.

The loved-up couple are staying in an $18,000-a-night penthouse at the five-star luxury hotel on the Harbour, which comes complete with a 24-hour butler and boasts two bedrooms, dining for eight, a sauna and steam room.

The pair began the Aussie sojourn of their post-wedding travels early yesterday morning with a 5km dawn run, checking out tried and tested tourist favourites including the Opera House, Botanical Gardens and Harbour Bridge along the way.

One guest was surprised to see Ms Middleton, who infamously almost stole the spotlight at her sister Kate’s wedding to Prince William with her figure-hugging bridesmaid’s dress, wandering around the hotel in a vest after her workout.

“I had to do a double take when she popped her head into the breakfast room briefly to take a peek. She had been running and was in a vest. Her arms are incredibly muscley. The pair of them are so bloody fit,” the guest said.

Staff were also happy to lend a few tourist tips, telling the couple about the Vivid Festival and why the Opera House was illuminated at night.

“They came back to their hotel and the manager welcomed them and told them to wrap up at night if they go for a walk as the city gets cold at dark. They chatted about Vivid and ordered breakfast to their room and left shortly afterwards for lunch saying they were catching up with close friends,” a hotel insider said.
