Villa World community hits market

- HANNAH SBEGHEN

ARUNDEL Springs, a $300 million masterplanned community, has officially launched to the market.

The development is the largest in more than a decade for Villa World on the Gold Coast and highlights a new course for the company’s residential projects.

Villa World Ceo Craig Treasure said the Arundel Springs community wasn’t Villa World’s usual style of development.

“Villa World has focused on affordable housing in growth corridors in the past, but Arundel is central and built around existing amenities,” he said.

“Developers have been trying to buy this parcel of land for the past 20 years and we are excited to have secured it.

“There is a really interesting mix of buyers but our most popular are families who want to live close to transport, the hospital and Griffith University.”

Fifty per cent of the first stage totalling $8.2 million has already been sold, prompting Villa World to fast-track the second-stage release.

Villa World is working closely with the City of Gold Coast to restore the long-neglected area.
