FEMALE BULLFIGHTER ON THE HORNS OF A DILEMMA

-

A FEMALE bullfighter who has caused uproar by displaying severed body parts of bulls in the arena has done it again.

Lea Vicens sparked outrage when she was pictured in 2015 holding the severed ears of a bull and repeated her grisly display at the weekend.

Vicens, 31, who is officially known as a rejoneadora – a female bullfighter on horseback – was thrown to the ground along with her horse during the the San Isidro Feria at Las Ventas bullring in Madrid.

The controversial bullfighter came centimetres away from serious injury in the heart-stopping spectacle after almost being gored by the bull but somehow managed to plunge at least three lances into the animal.

Vicens then posed with one of the bull’s ears.

Bull’s ears and tails are often cut off after bullfights as a trophy to the matador.

Animal activists were outraged by Vicens’ display in 2015 and no doubt will be equally incensed by her latest display.
