Truck rolls over driver

A TRUCK driver was last night in a critical condition after his rig rolled over his legs when he got out to inspect its brakes on the M1 Pacific Motorway.

Emergency services were called to the motorway at Wahroonga just before 5am yesterday to treat the truck driver, aged in his 60s, for severe leg injuries.

Police were told the man had experienced some issues with the brakes of his semi trailer and pulled over in the northbound lanes.

The truck rolled over him as he was inspecting it and he suffered a cardiac arrest.
