ONE of the most critical pieces of the Commonwealth Games puzzle has fallen into place with the release of the events Transport Operations Plan.

Organisers face a momentous challenge in balancing the unprecedented influx of visitors with the already-congested background traffic of the city – all on the wafer-thin northsouth geography offered by the Coast.

The plan reveals how ticket holders will be able to get to events, and also where the most pressure will be on local roads – and there will be pressure, no matter how much planning goes into it.
