Suncorp snub for Socceroos

CASH-STRAPPED Football Federation Australia has chosen money over Queensland fans in snubbing Suncorp Stadium for the Socceroos’ crucial World Cup qualifier against Thailand on September 5.

FFA is yet to make the announcement, but the match will be played at Melbourne’s AAMI Park.

The Socceroos haven’t contested a World Cup qualifier in Queensland since their 1-1 draw at the Milton venue with Japan on June 12, 2012 in front of 40,189 people.
