Lotto win eases retirement stress

-

A PARADISE POINT man will use a huge Lotto windfall to buy a new house and set himself up for retirement.

The man, in his 60s, was initially so surprised about his $500,000 win, he refused to believe it.

“The email said ‘Congratulations’ but it didn’t say how much it was,” he said. “I thought it might have been a hoax email. I couldn’t really believe it. I still can’t believe it to be honest.”

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, has begun hunting for his dream home.

“I definitely want to buy a little place to kick my heels back in,” he said. “Then I don’t have to worry about renting when I retire.

“It’s definitely come at a good time. It’s a huge relief. It makes a hell of a difference.”

The man bought the ticket at the Supanews Xpress at Westfield Helensvale. He is the 11th division one winner on the Gold Coast this year.
