Rivals eye Horn bout

SYDNEY and Melbourne are poised to make multimilliondollar offers to steal the Jeff Horn-Manny Pacquiao rematch from Brisbane.

Officials at Etihad Stadium, which can seat 56,000 fans under a retractable roof, have indicated their interest in staging one of the world’s most anticipated fights in conjunction with the Melbourne Cup.

While Horn’s camp are keen to have a hometown rematch, there are concerns over November’s heat and potential for rain at an outdoor fight.

An independent panel yesterday reaffirmed Horn’s win.
