WALLACE MOTIVATION CLOSE TO HOME

- RIKKI-LEE ARNOLD

WHEN Jarrod Wallace runs into battle against NSW tonight at Suncorp Stadium, he will be using two very special people as inspiration – his daughters, Lara and Peyton.

The Maroons young gun has had an incredible rise this year, turning himself from a Broncos bench player into a Queensland starting prop.

And while it has taken a lot of hard work from Wallace himself, he also knows a lot of it could not have been done without his girls as motivation.

“Everything is for them,” he said ahead of tonight’s showdown with the Blues.

“I obviously love playing footy but everything I do through (footy) is for them. I also love building memories with them and taking them everywhere.

“I love that they can be a part of everything. That’s the best part of my job is that I get to do everything with them. They don’t miss a thing.”

Wallace was able to enjoy his Origin debut with both Lara and Peyton, bringing them on to the field at ANZ Stadium after Queensland’s Game Two stunning victory.

He is hoping he will get to celebrate with them again tonight, but this time at home.

The Titans enforcer was solid in his debut last month, but wants to have a bigger impact for Origin III.
