Favourites too Hungary

THE Australian women’s volleyball team have been beaten 3-0 by Hungary in the Group 3 final of the World Grand Prix in Canberra.

The Hungarians went into the final as strong favourites, having not lost a match in the 2017 season and having won the last women’s European title, and showed their class with a 25-18, 25-17, 25-20 win.

The Australians won their first ever Grand Prix match this year and earned their place in the final after the non-appearance of Venezuela.
