Tia brother sentencing

A FOSTER brother of slain Logan schoolgirl Tiahleigh Palmer will be sentenced in Beenleigh today for allegedly lying during the investigation into the 12-year-old’s death.

Josh Thorburn, 20, will appear in the Beenleigh District Court after pleading guilty last year to one count each of perjury and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

It is alleged he committed the offences during the investigation into Tiahleigh’s death in 2015. He was due to be sentenced alongside his mother Julene on the same charges, but her hearing has been delayed.
