Council forces family to remove driveway

A Nerang couple claim they are being victimised by the council and face a $30,000 outlay after being ordered to remove a driveway. Matt and Nicole Fowler bought their Mariposa Ct property with two driveways six months ago. They said a building inspector signed off on the purchase. But two weeks ago the Fowlers received a letter from the Gold Coast City Council ordering them to remove one driveway, backfill and returf the area.

More than 300 people attended the anti-vaxxer rally for a screening of the documentar­y Vaxxed at Miami State High School on Wednesday night. Ms Palaszckuk has slammed the lobbyists for misreprese­nting the true reason for the meeting.

Road rage ‘punch attacker’ charged

A man who allegedly punched a woman in the face during a road rage assault on the Central Coast has been charged. Footage of the incident, uploaded on Monday, shows a man, 41, approachin­g Bianca Lee Sams, 21, at Lake Munmorah and punching her as she stood beside a car. Police charged the man, who was granted bail to appear at Wyong Local Court on August 30.
