Guns stolen from shed

TEN firearms have been stolen from a northern New South Wales property.

Police were told a Crabbes Creek property shed had been broken into between 9am on July 22 and 10am on August 1.

Two shot guns, two air rifles, six rifles and registrati­on documents were stolen.

Tweed Heads police are continuing investigat­ions but have charged an 83-year-old man in relation to the safe storage of firearms.

He was issued a court attendance notice for not keeping firearm safely and is due to appear before Murwillumb­ah Local Court on September 26.

Anyone with informatio­n is urged to come forward.
