SOMETHING a bit different at this week’s Gold Coast Business Awards. For the first time the nominees and guests were able to have their gathering in the Westpac branch at Pacific Fair – after regular hours, of course.

Something of a shock for the customers using the ATMs to find themselves in the middle of an awards’ ceremony and social soiree. Nice touch from Westpac area general manager Ann Brabyn (above) when she offered the customers some of the catered refreshments.

Special mention also to one of the winners, Ecosure, who is involved in creating the largest koala conservation area in the world. The diversity of business is simply astonishing.
