Plan a picturesqu­e picnic in the shadow of Mt Warning – Mavis’s Kitchen has just launched hampers. Alongside a rug, basket, wine cooler and compostabl­e picnic-ware, each pack includes Nimbin Valley cheeses, fruit, homemade duck liver pate with rosella jelly, salads, organic roast chicken and caponata, frittata, olives, locally baked bread and a cake. Palm Beach’s Blue Door on 5th will host a winemaker’s dinner showcasing Rieslingfr­eak from the Clare Valley. Chef Dylan Cashman has created a sixcourse tasting menu to match Rieslingfr­eak’s range, from sparkling to fortified. Tickets are $120.

THURSDAY

The Star Grazing Food Tour is a chance to experience four venues in the one night. Start at Kiyomi with a glass of Moët & Chandon in hand. Next on the menu is Mei Wei Dumplings where you’ll be transporte­d to the hawker lanes of Hong Kong. Cucina Vivo will draw on traditiona­l Italian food culture for the main course of tortelloni ripieni filled with Mooloolaba crabmeat. Finish with dessert at Garden Kitchen & Bar. Each tour hosts between 10 to 16 people from 6.30pm and runs for about two hours. The cost is $88. Tours also run August 24 and August 31.
