REGULAR readers will recall veteran councillor Daphne McDonald recently made her debut as council’s chamber comedian. Now she is facing tough opposition.

Governance chair William OwenJones, noting she was late for committee yesterday, told colleagues: “Councillor McDonald is going to be with us shortly. She is just on her way from the 1950s. Palm Beach.”
