Son of gun set to fire

COLLINGWOOD fans, the wait is over.

Josh Daicos, the son of club legend Peter, will make his AFL debut today. It’s been 24 years since a Daicos represented the club, but Josh will take up where his father left off against Geelong at the MCG.

And it’s been a long 22 rounds for fans eager to see the 18-year-old since he was taken as a father-son selection in last year’s draft.

Daicos was close last week and was taken to South Australia as the travelling emergency for Collingwood’s loss to Port Adelaide.
