Airport lifts on traffic

SYDNEY Airport has posted its strongest growth in passenger numbers in 12 years, with 21 million passing through the airport in the first half of 2017.

The increase helped lift its half-year profit four per cent to $167 million.

Chief executive Kerrie Mather said an improved business performance, plus a positive outlook for the second half of 2017, allowed the company to forecast an increase in distributions to investors to 34.5¢●for the full year.
