100 MPs could die in attack

-

A DRAMATIC night-time operation featuring police posing as terrorists has exposed security weaknesses at the Palace of Westminster, according to reports.

Police sources told the Sunday Telegraph a similar real-life event would end with the slaughter of more than 100 MPs.

The paper reported a simulated attack on the palace was held earlier this year when Parliament was in recess, with officers using a boat to gain access to the Thames-side building from the river.

A spokesman for the Houses of Parliament authorities would not confirm or deny that the operation had taken place.

But the paper said that three sources had told of what had happened with one saying MPs were “sitting ducks”.
