WHERE THE LINES WILL GO WEST

-

Spur line to Robina:

THE Robina route will likely turn off the Gold Coast Highway and follow Christine Ave west crossing into Varsity Lakes at Bermuda St.

It would continue through Varsity Lakes and on to Scottsdale Drive where it would pass near Robina Town Centre and terminal at Cbus Stadium and Robina Railway Station. Cottesloe Drive was initially discussed as a route but Christine Ave is wider and Varsity Lakes is already zoned as high-density. Cottesloe Drive, by 2030, is expected to become a major traffic thoroughfare and east-west arterial.

Spur line to Nerang:

THE existing public transport hub at the Broadbeach South station would become the departure point for western services to Nerang. On this link the trams are expected to run along Broadbeach-Nerang Rd, past Carrara Markets and turn before the Gooding Drive intersection.

It would continue along Nerang-Broadbeach Rd past Emerald Lakes to the sports precinct which includes Metricon Stadium.

The service would also likely stop at the to-be-built Songcheng theme park before terminating at Nerang railway station.
