World glory for Jessica

JESSICA Fox secured the C1 World Cup title after finishing second behind Spain’s Nuria Villarubia in the final event of the World Cup in Spain.

The Australian went into the race at La Seu d’Urgell having won the past three world cup legs, but four seconds of penalties from Fox yesterday helped the Spaniard claim the win.

“It was a very challenging final, I had some penalties there and it was tough work all the way down,” Fox said. “I’m really happy to take the overall title.”
