Mercury is forming a conjunction with Mars in your solar sixth house, Virgo. So no one can say you’re not busy! I might even suggest that you’re a little too busy. In fact, it’s going to be easy to overextend yourself. Although the breadth of your ambition is not to be faulted, focusing your energy on conservation might help rather than hinder. You’re magnificently capable, but you’re not a superhero! Your outlook’s good. But, as the Sun links with Saturn, it will be much improved by some recuperation.

LEO JUL 24 - AUG 23

Jenga is a game where you remove wooden blocks from an increasingly precarious tower. Towards the end, when a block is removed, the tower wobbles, then appears to steady, and then... the whole thing comes crashing down. A situation, in your life, feels a bit like a Jenga tower. It’s teetering on the edge of a seismic movement. It feels as if there’s nothing to be done, except to wait and see what happens. Today, though, even if your position is precarious, you can make a winning move. Anxious? Call to hear your unmissable in-depth, forecast: 1900 959 005. When I was at school, there was a shift away from exams. Coursework became much more relevant. At least a third of my marks came from the grading of essays and completion of tasks set throughout the academic year. In a similar fashion, the Sun’s link to Saturn today represents the final big test of what began with their conjunction last December. Rather than worry about how we’re going to do, it’s a chance to look back at all that we’ve learnt. It will stand us in good stead for an easier time ahead.

TAURUS APR 21 - MAY 21

We can all grow tired of the mysterious ways in which the universe works. Just for once, could a pot of gold simply fall from the sky? Would it be so terrible if your problems simply vanished overnight? But miracles don’t always look like shooting stars. Some are slow burners. Just as it takes time to travel from Point A to Point B, so it takes time for the universe to send the help we need. In the wake of the Grand Trine, the changes you’ve been anticipating are on their way. Confused? Call to hear your unmissable in-depth, forecast: 1900 959 005.

VIRGO AUG 24 - SEP 23

Life is an eternal knot of strategies, routes and decisions. Every opportunity relies on a series of other possibilities. Aha! If we go this way, with the support of this person, then - providing we resist the urge to turn left rather than right - oh, and so long as we don’t allow ourselves to be distracted by something else, the solution should be simple. But that doesn’t sound so simple! If the truth be told, you’re a bit tied up at the moment. It’s time to extricate yourself from an all-consuming situation. Confused? Call to hear your unmissable in-depth, forecast: 1900 959 005.

GEMINI MAY 22 - JUN 22

Imagine if your reading for today simply said: ‘things will happen to you in the future’. You’d (rightly) feel short-changed. It’s a feeling you’re experiencing at the moment, as people seem to be queuing up to deprive you of your dues. And, though it’s clear that you’re failing to receive your fair share, no one’s doing anything about it. A confrontation would make people retreat even further into entrenched positions. But, if you keep nudging them - they will come round and put things right.

LIBRA SEP 24 - OCT 23

An art-loving crowd were all smiles as they attended Australia’s richest photographic awards

JOSEPHINE ULRICK/WIN SCHUBERT PHOTOGRAPHIC AWARD

The Arts Centre Gold Coast

VERY strange to be at the announcement of the Josephine Ulrick/ Win Schubert Photographic Award and realise that for the first time Mrs Schubert would not be there. The photographic award, the richest in Australia which Win funded in perpetuity, is a fitting testament to her devotion to the arts. This year’s winner is Penny Borland. The exhibition runs until October 22. Emily Dickinson wrote: ‘Hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul.’ I mention this because you may be closing yourself off to an idea that wants to take flight. It makes sense that you want to guard against disappointment. But turning away from opportunity won’t improve things. That feeling of being stuck in the mud doesn’t have to be how you continue. The weight you’ve been carrying can be shaken off. Today, stretch your wings; see life from a higher, clearer perspective. Uncertain? Call to hear your unmissable in-depth, forecast: 1900 959 005.

CANCER JUN 23 - JUL 23

Have you ever wondered if the universe throws moments of happiness and joy into the world just to spite us? If it were all misery and despair, wouldn’t we eventually become numb to its pain and frustrations? It’s the moments of joy that remind us why we’re here. They help us to survive the pangs of thwarted opportunities and passions, and remind us that there’s more to life than stress and anger. In the aftermath of the Grand Trine, those moments lengthen into times you can enjoy.

SCORPIO OCT 24 - NOV 22

My little boy wants everything to be fair. If someone has more turns than him on the swing, you can be sure that he will notice, and complain loudly! As we mature, we learn that justice isn’t quite so easy to uphold. Some people seem to be experts at making things appear fair, even when they’re not. And, distrustful folk say that things are unfair, when they aren’t. It’s worth looking more closely at something that seems unjust today. If they are, you can make your opinion heard - discreetly.
