Bus driver in­jures three, blows over

A SYD­NEY bus driver was al­legedly over the limit when he ploughed his ve­hi­cle into two homes in the city’s north­west, in­jur­ing three peo­ple.

The bus was trav­el­ling on Ep­ping Rd, North Ryde about mid­day on Satur­day when it left the road, mounted the kerb and smashed through a front yard be­fore crash­ing into two homes, NSW Po­lice say.

The 61-year-old bus driver, who was not in­jured in the smash, al­legedly tested pos­i­tive, a NSW Po­lice spokes­woman said yes­ter­day. He has since un­der­gone manda­tory blood and urine tests at Royal North Shore hospi­tal.

Two women in one of the houses suf­fered mi­nor in­juries and were taken to Royal North Shore Hospi­tal for ob­ser­va­tion while a man in an­other house also suf­fered mi­nor in­juries but didn’t need treat­ment.

There were no pas­sen­gers on the bus at the time of the crash.
