LUNDGREN AT HOME ON COAST

- AMY PRICE

AQUAMAN actor Dolph Lundgren is reportedly so taken by the Gold Coast that he has committed to staying in town after filming on the DC Comics epic wraps next month.

The 59-year-old Rocky star returned to Queensland this month to finish filming his role as King Nereus.

He was spotted with his girlfriend Jenny Sandersson enjoying a Sunday session at Koi Dining and Lounge Bar in Broadbeach, where they met The Voice alumni The Koi Boys, who were performing.

Sandersson, who is Lundgren’s personal hair and makeup artist, is also planning to launch a range of Los Angeles-inspired leather jackets with a Melbourne fashion designer, who she will meet on the Gold Coast.

Former Coast Tourism ambassador Melissa Burrows, who is organising trips for the Swedish couple in Queensland, said the pair felt at home.

“Dolph said he loves it here and feels so comfortable,” she said. “He has other movies in other countries but (he is) staying as long as he can.

“It will be a few weeks longer … but he will be back.”
