GET OUT, GET ACTIVE

SEE how many of these things you can complete during the holiday break. Keep a photo/video blog of each activity.

• Have a picnic.

• Go beach/ bush combing – make something from the things you find, e.g. a mobile.

• Slide down a sand or grass hill on a piece of strong cardboard.

• Invent a new game to play in the park.

• Skim a stone.

• Ride your bike, scooter, skateboard on a cycleway.

• Visit a National Park and take a photo next to a sign.

• Go Geocaching – the free high-tech treasure hunt where you use your GPS receiver to find caches hidden by other players. It’s a great way to be outdoors, enjoy the environment and revel in the thrill of the hunt. (geocaching.com.au).
