Rows hurt investment

-

POLITICAL uncertainty is the biggest risk factor for Australia’s biggest infrastructure investors as policitians bicker and change their minds about energy policy and major projects, polling reveals.

A survey of the 26 biggest investors in Australian infrastructure projects has found they are “spooked by rapid and unpredictable political interventions”.

The joint survey by Perpetual Corporate Trust and Infrastructure Partnerships Australia found political risk was their biggest concern, followed by sovereign risk.

Roads were of most interest to investors.
