Policeman’s gun counts

A POLICE officer in charge of a country station who has been a police firearms training officer and shooting competitor, is facing eight firearms charges.

Sergeant Timothy Misson, suspended officer-in-charge of Barcaldine Police Station, had his weapons licence suspended in June, after being issued with notices to appear in court.

Sgt Misson has applied to the Queensland Civil and Administra­tive Tribunal for a review of the decision to suspend his weapons licence.

Charges include firearms possession. unlawful
