Blues call due

BRAD Fittler will learn his NSW State of Origin coaching fate by the end of next month.

The NSW Rugby League board met yesterday to reduce the number of candidates to replace Laurie Daley as Blues coach, with Fittler most likely ahead of rumoured applicants John Cartwright, David Furner and Michael Maguire.

“Between now and the next meeting we will interview the people who have expressed an interest,” NSWRL chief executive David Trodden said.
