Closures in Southport

DON’T be afraid if you come around a corner in Southport today and stumble across what appears to be two Chinese tourists in a spot of trouble.

New Australian-Chinese co-produced feature At Last will film on location in Southport today after setting up a Unit Base at the back of James Overell Park along Brighton St overnight.

The film, which has been shooting in southeast Queensland for the past two months, follows the adventures of a couple from Beijing who become embroiled in a complex art heist while they’re on holiday in Australia.

Aqua St will be closed between Brighton Pde and Como Cres from 5am to 2pm.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible, with traffic to be held and released in Como Cres at three- to fiveminute intervals while cameras are rolling.
