Myer stores facing chop
MYER has warned 19 stores are at risk of closing or shrinking if their performance does not improve.
The struggling department store chain provided the latest outlook on its fleet of 63 stores at a strategy day yesterday, where it cut its sales and profit targets and warned sales had fallen.
It says it will push ahead with creating more “unique experiences” to attract shoppers and keep them in stores longer.
Among them, it will trial a children’s play centre in Melbourne and roll out pop-up food offerings.
