Roos’ Honduras home

-

THE Socceroos were made to feel welcome in Honduras as 16 members of the squad took part in Australia’s first training session ahead of Saturday’s World Cup qualifying playoff.

Training at Estadio Francisco Morazán, the Socceroos completed a light session.

China-based defender Trent Sainbsury said the Socceroos were being treated well ahead of two-legged playoff. “Straight through from the airport, everyone’s been really friendly,” Sainsbury said.

“It’s been great. I haven’t had a bad thing to say about the place to be honest.

“People keep hyping up that this is a really dangerous place to come, (that) it’s going to be really hostile, (but) I don’t see it that way at the moment.”
