Swimmer in trouble
I can rhyme, I even have an original poem I’ve been working on ... A 25-YEAR-OLD man trying to swim across Tallebudgera Creek had to be rescued by surf lifesavers yesterday.
He became distressed when the strong currents took hold of him, causing him to panic.
A Surf Life Saving Queensland spokesman told the Gold Coast Bulletin the man “swallowed a bit of water” just before 3pm.
Paramedics were called to the scene near the corner of the Gold Coast Hwy and Tallebudgera Dr but the man declined paramedics’ offer for assistance.
