QBR VISIT TO KIRIBATI
THE Queen’s Baton Relay (QBR) has made its most isolated stop on its journey to the Gold Coast.
As it tours the Oceania nation of Kiribati, the Queen’s Baton went beyond the main island of Tarawa to one of nation’s outer atolls.
One of the most remote and hard-to-get-to nations in the world, Kiribati comprises 33 islands of which 21 are inhabited. The Baton is today on the Cook Islands.
