Say hello to the superfood we’ve been waiting for.
What might look like a mini milkshake is actually the ’ol flat white in disguise.
Addiction Food and Coffee at Broadbeach has a crazy new look for their coffee.
The idea was brewed up by cafe owners Jonathan Althen and Ricardo Alfonzo. The colourful concoctions include a Red Velvet Latte and Mermaid Latte – but you’ll never guess the ingredients.
“The Red Velvet Latte is actually made from beetroot, ginger and turmeric, that’s where it gets it’s colour from,” Mr Althen said.
The Mermaid Latte is made from blue Matcha tea and a host of vegetables. “People might think they are full of sugar but they are actually like a super food.
“We make them with soy milk or almond milk too. They are proving to be a great alternative to nontraditional coffee drinkers.”
