Retirement home plan

-

A DEVELOPER has lodged plans for a retirement home near one of the northern Gold Coast’s busiest arterial roads.

Put forward by the Gold Coast Jewish Foundation for the Aged, the modern facility is planned for a site on the corner of Napper Rd and Uplands Dr and would have space for 130 beds.

The three-storey centre would boast a café, beauty salon, professional suites, residential and therapy rooms.

If approved by the Gold Coast City Council, it would be built on an 8096 sq site which is currently occupied by bushland and was previously the subject of a development application for an aged care facility.
