Daylight robbery

A MAN was allegedly mugged in broad daylight on a busy Gold Coast street.

Yesterday at 9.10am a man was sitting on the corner of Scarborough and Young streets in Southport when he was approached by a group of men.

It is understood the man was threatened before his watch was stolen.

Police have charged an 18year-old man from Southport with robbery in company.

It is possible more charges will be laid. The offender and victim are not known to one another.
