Pearson on journey to Games run

-

“It’s nice to reassure yourself that you’re doing everything right in training because you’ve got to put the race together,” Pearson said.

“I know it’s only 100m but it’s such a technical event as well.”

Queensland Athletics CEO David Gynther said he understood Pearson may compete in one or two smaller Queensland club meets before her intended appearance at the Perth Track Classic on January 13.

“It would be a big ask for her to compete in both (the 100m and the 100m hurdles races) at the Commonwealth Games given the schedule at the meet,’’ Gynther said of Pearson’s schedule.

“I’d imagine she’d be concentrating on the hurdles.”
