NO MORE BULLY BOYS BBL DRS Coast star calls for snub of contentious umpire review system DEBATE BOWLING DOLPHINS JOCKEY’S ‘EM OVER DISSECTED ON A ROLL

- WARREN PARTLAND

ALL-STAR LINE-UP REPORT CARD IS IN P36-37 GOLD Coaster Michael Neser has reignited the Big Bash League’s DRS debate, declaring the controversial review system too slow for the rapid-fire format.

The Adelaide Strikers allrounder added his name to the list of opponents of DRS despite a hugely doubtful dismissal in his side’s New Year’s Eve victory over Brisbane Heat.

Star Heat batsman Chris Lynn was given out, caught behind off teen leggie Rashid Khan for a duck, and replays showed the Strikers were fortunate to get the crucial wicket.

It appeared the bat scraped the ground and Lynn stared at the umpire in disbelief.

Neser, a Strikers hero with a career-best unbeaten 40 runs from just 26 balls before claiming 2-7, urged against a DRS introduction.

“No, it’s going to be too slow if we have DRS in T20,” he said. “It is the nature of the game.

“You get some bad ones (decisions) and good ones. That’s how it is.” NO STOPPING LLOYD
