Man charged over alleged Robina road rage attack

A 47-YEAR-OLD Tweed Heads man has been charged over an alleged road rage attack on a young mother in Robina last week.

It will be alleged about 1.25pm on Wednesday, January 3 the man exited a white Toyota utility on Scottsdale Dr and attempted to grab the arm of the female driver of a second vehicle.

It will also be alleged the man tried to grab the key out of the ignition, breaking the key off before throwing the remaining keys into the bush.

The man attended the Coolangatta Police Station yesterday and was charged with enter premises and common assault.

He has also been charged with wilful damage and public nuisance in relation an alleged incident at Currumbin Creek boat ramp on December 14.

The man is expected to appear in the Coolangatta Magistrates Court on January 22.
